Whenever we have a chance to go shopping, before the titanic mission it’s very likely we spend a few hours surfing on the internet observing what the brands and the streets want to tell us; most of the times this confuses us even more, right? Besides there’s a dilemma at the moment of the purchase, because today we are more conscious about how we spend our money as we are more aware of the work it implies to gain it.

How to take the trends to our wardrobe in a smart way? Palacio de Hierro, the Mexican department store chain where prestigious international brands can be found, invited me to the Seasonless Fashion talk, which was hosted by Sofia Felix Smith, Head of Fashion, and Laura Carrillo, the designer of the indie Brand Chabe who is also part of the fashion stylists team in Palacio de Hierro. In this event they shared the fashion trends for this Spring Summer season according to Palacio de Hierro.

Today on #FashionMarcomCase I want to share with you what’s coming, and help you in the selection of what’s best for you.

What does Palacio de Hierro says? More than just shopping, it’s about strengthening your own style. It’s very important to understand what happens around us, to interpret what we’re living: what we dress is a reflection of what we believe in.

Don’t follow a trend because of a stimulus of what you see on the internet or magazines, choose what matches your personality and fits your body; pick representative garments of the season and you feel confortable in; mix high and low cost pieces, but try to keep those that are seasonless; find accessories that highlight your look and also you can create an emotional bond with. This makes clearer why they call it Seasonless Fashion.

It isn’t that difficult, right? And so, they shared three main trends by theme and colors range we will see this season. Which one is your favorite?

Miami

It makes reference to Tropical with reminiscence of Art-Déco architecture. We will see pastel colors that even if they are softened with white, they are still vivid colors.

Morocco

This trend wants to take us far away on a Safari kind of journey. We will see mosaic prints with touches of terra-cotta; gray and camel will balance the color accents.

Mellow-Yellow

In spring there will always be a nautical theme to relate to warm weather. The inspiration this season is Pop Art, where the starting point is primary colors, especially yellow. This trend is strongly mixed with sports, so a must in your closet is a pair of white sneakers.
