Alexis Mabille, the French fashion designer

Let me tell you that the day of the launch of a collection during Fashion Week starts very early; at around 8am in the morning models, make-up artists, hair stylists, and the entire designer’s crew, meet backstage where the runway show will be hold to get ready for it (it’s important to mention the magazine editors, photographers and bloggers who do their boisterous coverage in this space as well).
Here is the story about my second backstage adventure in Paris Fashion Week with another French fashion designer, Alexis Mabille; this happened at the majestic Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild.
For his Spring-Summer 2015 Ready-to-wear collection, Alexis offers sporty-chic looks. Metaphorically declared through satin boxer robes, his pieces were created for the strong, determined and sensual woman; we see in this collection the alteration of sportswear and basic garments towards the ultra-feminine elegance for the active and stylish gals.
The MAC Cosmetics team picked for the make-up a natural look, this time emphasizing the eyes with a metallic gold eye shadow. Again, we saw long and straight manes (it’s confirmed, we’ll be seeing a lot the 70’s look this season).
The experience in this backstage was a little more hectic than the previous one, seeing from the outside more than 30 people ready to dress 19 models gave me the impression that the crowd wouldn’t allow order, but it was impressive how in 10 minutes they were all ready, I was shocked with the “order in such chaos”.
The experience attending backstage hand to hand with MAC Cosmetics was really fun. Bein the first source and seeing the next trends was a very special moment I’ll treasure in my chapter My Fashion Week days while in Paris.
